This thread will be our SINGLE location for when any Member gets the urge simply to "post a link" (or several) because they are particularly useful/informative.

Obviously, some of the stuff that gets posted here will turn out (in hindsight) to be neither "useful" nor "informative" (lol), since none of us are perfect. However, at least if we have a single repository for all this material we will have a reasonably practical starting-point from which to search for the really good stuff which will accumulate here over time.

To aid readers in locating this material (in the future); I would urge people who post here to add a couple of words into the "title" slot in order to give readers some clue as to what the link/site is all about.

Some good links posted by goldeneconomizer

Apparently, the US govt has recently made it illegal to divert water from your own roof! Talk about intrusive!

I am no expert, but here are some of the resources I've been looking at:

infinitedangers.com/documents/InfiniteDangersBook122610b.doc

infinitedangers.com/

This is a free download of a complete book with some very good information. It is written in very rough form, and I have offered to edit it for the author, so it may soon be available in a much more readable form. The information on communications is excellent, as it is written by an electronic engineer, but surprisingly, he doesn't mention eneloops batteries, which are the new extended shelf life rechargeable NiMH kind that have made the old kind obsolete, available at Costco, etc.

www.oism.org/nwss/

This one is a free online book "Nuclear War Survival Skills", but a lot of the information is generic. Chapters 8 and 9 are particularly good.

www.survivalblog.com/2008/01/prepare_or_die_by_j_britely.html

Survival Blog, lots of good information here

www.ldsindex.org/preparedness.html

Latter Day Saints site, lots of good info on food storage

www.youtube.com/profile?user=survivalistboards#g/u

good short survivalist videos

www.everlastingseeds.com/

source of heirloom seeds, there are quite a few sites like this

www.berkeyfilters.com/

these are probably the best survival filters made, available on ebay, etc

www.chrismartenson.com/blog/prepping-sho...-already-tight/49971

survival info from the chris martenson site

DayOwl, is a "community hero" of our family.

Just wanted to transfer this info-

Earl

DayOwl,
Information is power. Obviously, there are those who think withholding information gives them more power.

I noticed a drastic change in information availability shortly after "Dubyuh" took office back in 2001. I did a lot of research for criminology papers in the late 90's, but noticed that a lot of stuff disappeared from view in the new century. I was slightly alarmed at the time.

Google "tailors" the results to your profile if you are actually going through Google. I wouldn't be surprised if people who look up inconvenient realities (and write about them) are being individually censored. Try using Startpage.com for searches. They don't save your searches, info, or your IP address. You might also look at archive.com which saves all kinds of material that has been "disappeared" from the net.

I suppose what we need to do now is stop using the dominant search engine. It's hopelessly compromised. Good info can still be found, but it takes digging and patience. It's still there, just under cover of inconvenience. Start saving links and articles instead of figuring you can access it later through searches.

Thanks for your efforts in that "fishing expedition" Earl and Mertis. As the old saying goes, "give someone a fish and they'll eat for a day. Teach them to fish and they can feed themselves forever."

Chlorella and cilantro for amazing daily detox and maintenance

www.naturalnews.com/035177_chlorella_cilantro_detox.html

Heavy or toxic metals, such as cadmium, lead, mercury, and aluminum degenerate the body's immune system, leading to poor health and disease. If you have dental amalgams (mercury fillings) for example, you are inadvertently releasing mercury vapors into your body.
