TOPIC: Notable Quotes...

I don't exempt myself here. A trillion is too big a number for my puny mind. BUT, I can understand a billion, and so by (mentally) CONVERTING trillions to billions I can still wrap my head around those numbers (to some extent)...

Here is some visual aid for all of us!

FANTASTIC link! I'm going to try to remember to use it the next time I'm trying to get the concept of creeping zeros across.

In particular, people should look at the difference between the (modest) stack of $100 bills that comprise $1 million (what WE think of as "rich") - and the FOOTBALL FIELD-sized stack of $100 bills which represents $1 trillion (i.e. Rothschilds rich).

I loved this line from the link
If you spent $1 million a day since Jesus was born, you would have not spent $1 trillion by now...but ~$700 billion- same amount the banks got during bailout.

WHEN PEACEFUL REVOLUTION BECOMES IMPOSSIBLE,
VIOLENT REVOLUTION BECOMES INEVITABLE

--John F. Kennedy

Sadly, these will soon be seen as VERY relevant if not prophetic words...

Just a few excellent quotes from a mystery man. Without cheating, can you guess who this seemingly brilliant man was?

"All propaganda has to be popular and has to accommodate itself to the comprehension of the least intelligent of those whom it seeks to reach."

"Generals think war should be waged like the tourneys of the Middle Ages. I have no use for knights; I need revolutionaries."

"As soon as by one's own propaganda even a glimpse of right on the other side is admitted, the cause for doubting one's own right is laid."

"As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice."

"All great movements are popular movements. They are the volcanic eruptions of human passions and emotions, stirred into activity by the ruthless Goddess of Distress or by the torch of the spoken word cast into the midst of the people."

"If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed."

"Universal education is the most corroding and disintegrating poison that liberalism has ever invented for its own destruction."

...meanwhile, I have a new one to add, courtesy of a recent interview with the "Oracle of Omaha" himself.

I'm not sure if WB has started reading my commentaries, because he sounds a LOT like me when he says the following words:

"Bonds promoted as offering risk-free returns are now priced to deliver return-free risk."

- Warren Buffett, Feb/2012

P.S. I spotted this in a good analysis of that interview at FOFOA (fofoa.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=20...00&max-results=1)

(Thanks Zooey!)

He was the last man I expected to say such things and others that I read on that link!
