Hi, Everyone

I have a question that I haven't been able to find an answer to for over 40 years. It concerns what is actual money in U. S. coins. If you look at the U. S. Constitution, you will read that the only (lawful) forms of money are gold and silver. Both were taken out of U. S. coins many years ago. Most recently, silver was eliminated in 1965 when the Coinage Act of 1965 was passed. I don't understand how passing a law to take silver out of U. S. coins was legal. From high school civics class, I was taught that the only way to change something in the U. S. Constitution was to amend the part that is to be changed. You cannot (legally) amend the Constitution by Legislative, Executive or Judicial means. Yet there is no silver (or gold) in our coins. Is this just another example of how meaningless our Constitution has become and that it is only honored and upheld when it is convenient and advances a certain agenda?

Once again we have a case of a "good question" for which there is no "good answer".

Our government got around that by never enshrining "good money" in our own Constitution (lol). In the case of the U.S., there seems to be a sort of constitutional 'tunnel-vision' at work. If anyone even HINTS at taking away Americans' guns there is practically rioting in the streets.

But when the bankers took away their Constitutionally-protected "money", and replaced it with their own worthless paper, there was nary a peep. A "Constitution" isn't worth the paper it's written on if no one pays attention to it.
