Thought I'd do a quick follow-up on this. Bullion was flying off the shelves today, and the line was literally out the door. Not only were people buying like crazy, but some were walking in with actual tool boxes full of gold coin and jewelry to sell! My goal today was to walk away with ten 10oz. A-MARK silver bars, but I could only get nine! Apparently they've been stocking new brands, new denominations, tons of coin, and still unable to keep the place stocked.

Not only that, but their supplier was unable to deliver the full amount of bullion requested, hence the shortage in 10oz. silver bars. I'm not sure how often this has been happening, but this is certainly not the first time I've been unable to purchase the amount and/or brand I was looking for.

From what I could see today, demand is higher than ever for all kinds of bullion, and supply is getting even tighter. The future looks bright!

In Vancouver, the dealer I buy from was briefly out of silver maples, but got a shipment in when I bought my last batch.

Right now I'm living in BC. If you're familiar with Vancouver, then maybe you've heard of White Rock? I've been buying all my bullion here locally. I guess I could make it into Vancouver, but the bus routes have recently been changed, and there is no longer a direct bus from White Rock to Van. It's just more convenient for me right now, even if I do have to wait a couple days for something.
