North Country Gold 1 Year, 11 Months ago Karma: 4
check it out, good old canada and in nunavut, where general interest is low because of short drilling season, but my top pick for a 5 bagger this year (at least). check out corp presentation. stock is now suffering as most are, but 6 drills turning and a 25 mio CAD budget for this summer. just an idea in a mostly depressing world made by the biggies, but i'm happy. take care and God bless pointview

Interesting company, Pointview - and interesting deposit at Three Bluffs.

Obviously there's quite a bit of gold there, and the fact they've already got a nice-sized "resource" under their belts is encouraging. Looking at the chart, it looks like this was ANOTHER PM miner that was just on the verge of a real "break-out" when the May take-down occurred.

So given that they've got the gold (and solid grades), my questions about this are concerning financials and geography.

It's GREAT to hear they've got that many drills going at once. Not too many juniors (outside of companies like Premier or Rubicon) get that many drills going at once. However, the more drills, the more cash it costs. Do you know how they are for cash-on-hand, and roughly when they will have to "go to the well" again?

The other thing I would want to know about is the geography, as I don't have a good understanding of the issues here. I noticed the 2010 drilling was very shallow. Is there any problem going down "to depth" in this area, or was the 2010 drilling always intended to just 'scratch the surface'?

Similarly, do you know if the geography will present challenges relating to BUILDING a mine, OPERATING a mine, or simply moving stuff in and out of the area once it was producing?

If the northern latitude isn't going to be too much of a problem, then I can see why you're enthusiastic here.

Hi Jeff
there aren't any geographical issues, very flat property. they will drill a lot of shallow holes, that is the quickest way to prove up as many oz's as possible until the drilling season ends. Was told the compnay considers some deep holes this year as wekk. Q1 2012 resource update.
There are some nice pictures on the website to see the property and their work and sure enough the presentation, that was updated June 2 gives you a very good idea, including this years planned drill holes.

I took the liberty of writing up NCG. Good looking Trend they are working. How is the access to roads and power? There was a paucity of information on the website about this. Perhaps there is more in the NI 43-101, I still have more digging to do.

hi Brian
here some info i got from the company:
1. All projects in Nunavut provide their own power, including Agnico Eagles Meadowbank mine.
2. local government is pushing federal government very agressive to build a 1300km road north from Manitoba into Nunavut. Will bring power and infrastructure into communities, however will take some time.
3.This year they brought in supplies with an 737 Jet (as you can see on the pictures on the website), which has cut costs from using the Herc.
4. They will get land use permits upgraded, which gives them the ability to put in roads and decrease air support requirements within camp.
5. they are 60 km west from Wager Bay which gives them an ocean entry point into their project.

Thanks for the information pointview. Good to see you again btw. Hopefully the roads will be built within a few years. It should take that long for them to really dial in on this resource. With a 30 Million dollar drill program this year, they must have a few rigs on several targets. Do you know how they are progressing and on what targets? I thought they were going to do more with Three Bluffs and Three Bluffs West. Is that correct, or are they taking on more. Hopefully they gain more ground with the SP, so next years round of financing is less dilutive. They look to be on a good glide-path for exploration. Development should be interesting.

Hi Brian
it is my understanding that 2 weeks ago they had at least 7 holes at the lab. as for targets, please go to the website's corp presentation, there on page 17 you see the planned drill hole locations for this summer. They are not only concentrating on Three Bluffs and three bluffs west, but also on Hayes and Antler and between them, which is a total over 4km
regards, Marcel
I just add the corp presentation as a file

Thanks for the additional info and data, Pointview.

That will certainly give anyone interested in this one a good head start on their "DD".
