Yes, Brian. There would NOT have been the same tone to the closing ceremonies if Canada had took home silver. For us hockey hard-liners it would have been more like a wake.

Great game! I'll say this: the U.S. demonstrated that they deserved to be playing for the gold. They all played like "Canadians" (lol).

I know that "some people" around here would have gotten a lot more surly if Canada got knocked-out of the Olympic hockey tournament in the quarter-finals on "HOME ICE"!
