As the Swiss "gold referendum" approaches; suddenly another European nation (which supposedly owns a lot of gold) wants its gold back: France. In this case; the request comes from the French Opposition -- it's rapidly-rising, ultra right-wing party (i.e. fascist): Front National.

While it's encouraging to hear more "gold repatriation" talk; it's quite alarming to know that a political party to the right of the current Fascists governing France has become the country's most-popular political party. Yes, I know the governing party of France calls itself "socialist" -- but it has engaged in nothing but ultra right-wing, extremist policies since the day it was elected.

Clearly fascism is once again rising in Europe, while over here in North America we have the ultra-fascist Two-Party Dictatorship in the U.S., and in Canada we have goose-stepping wannabe, Stephen Harper -- moving Canada further and further and further to the Right every day. And this comes after the political pendulum had already swung further to the Right than any time in our history.

If Hitler were alive today; he would be considered a "political moderate"...

Here Comes France: Right-Wing Leader Marine Le Pen Demands Central Bank Repatriate French Gold

www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-11-25/here-c...l-bank-repatriate-fr

First Germany, then the Netherlands, perhaps Switzerland this weekend, and now the French right-wing Front National, which shockingly came first in May's European parliament elections, and whose leader Marine Le Pen is currently polling in first place in a hypothetical presidential election (in both a first and run off round), ahead of president Hollande, has sent a letter to the governor of the French Central Bank, the Banque de France, demanding that France join the list of nations which have repatriated, or at least tried to, their gold.

From her letter, here is the full list of French demands (google translated):

Urgent repatriation on French soil of all of our gold reserves located abroad.
An immediate discontinuation of any gold sales program.
Conversely, a gradual reallocation of a significant portion of foreign exchange reserves in the balance sheet of the Bank of France by buying gold at each significant decrease in the price of an ounce (recommendation 20%) .
A suspension of any financial commitment or loan contract would wager that our gold reserves.
At the patrimonial and financial balance of the 2004 gold sales transactions ordered by N. Sarkozy...

Jeff Nielson created a new topic Netherlands repatriates some of its gold in the forums.
News came out this week that the Netherlands has "secretly" repatriated 120 tons of its gold from the U.S. There is some significance to this news in itself, put into the context of Germany trying to get some of its gold back, and the (subsequent) news (which will be included in a separate post) that the leader of France's rapidly rising fascist party wants France's gold returned to it, as well.

However, the tid-bit of news in the Dutch announcement which really caught my eye was this:

Now 31% of the Dutch gold reserves are in Amsterdam, the same percentage as in New York. The rest is in Ottowa and London.

Putting aside the fact that the capital of Canada is spelled incorrectly (lol); how is it possible for Canada to be storing gold for the Netherlands, when WE have no gold of our own -- except a tiny reserve for minting our Gold Maples?

This is the first that I have ever heard that Canada is apparently also being used as a storage depot for at least a small fraction of Europe's gold. Note that this suggests that Canada's government has been more deeply involved in the West's (U.S.'s) gold shell-game than anyone ever suspected (or at least me).

Dutch bring 120 tonnes of gold back to Amsterdam from New York

www.dutchnews.nl/news/archives/2014/11/d...m-from-new-york.php/

The Dutch central bank has secretly brought a large part of the national gold reserves being held in a secure depot in New York back to Amsterdam. In total, 120 tonnes of gold valued at €4bn has been brought back to the Netherlands by ship, Nos television said...

In the clip below, another so-called "hearing"; U.S. Eunuch politicians DESCRIBE (in very understated terms) all of the crimes being committed by the Wall Street branches of the One Bank. They say that all of these crimes are indefensible and intolerable. And then -- as always -- they DO nothing.

Try to avoid puking if you listen to this...

P.S. I almost forgot the punch-line: the Eunuchs are expecting and relying upon the Federal Reserve to monitor the Wall Street criminals, stop any "abuses" (i.e. crimes), and PUNISH offenders.

Jeff Nielson replied to the topic Re: Protecting Pedophile Politicians in the forums.
Debsyl, I certainly understand your basis for outrage here (and that of Zero Hedge). However, what always concerns me when "news" like this emerges is that it DISTRACTS US from the much larger issues (i.e. their BIGGEST crimes-against-humanity).

While these amoral politicians (and let's not forget the Priests) engage in these despicable acts, victimizing hundreds (thousands?) of children; these same despicable Traitors are the primary facilitators as the Old World Order victimizes HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS (just in our own societies) with its endless/relentless economic rape.

If we smashed the One Bank, and banished it to oblivion; would these Pedophile Politicians still be protected? No. If we smashed the One Bank, and banished it to oblivion; would these Pedophile Politicians even get elected? In most cases; no.

The same type of people who see no problems in serving the One Bank (all their lives) -- as it engages in the ECONOMIC RAPE of all their constituents -- are precisely the same sort of morally-deficient human beings who would see no problem in victimizing children.

What is reported here is (ultimately) merely another symptom of the societies/system which the One Bank has imposed on almost the entire Western world. What we must NEVER lose sight of, however, is the underlying "disease":

The Old World Order

The Poster Boy for the sexual abuse of children (around the world) is the Pope. And there is no more obvious/visible symbol of the Old World Order than whatever sub-human currently occupies that position.

There is just one issue I have with the content of these two videos, particularly the second and the text commentary leading into it. The statement that the Swiss will NOT be getting their gold is incorrect, and misleading. The Swiss WILL get their gold, if the referendum is carried, because they will require it. The important thing to note is the wording of the sentence: "There is simply not enough gold, at current prices, to satisfy the Swiss’ needs.". The key words are "at current prices". The prices will simply have to rise for the Swiss to get their gold. I'm sure this is the point that is worrying the PTB, as a referendum is not something that anyone can ignore. If it's carried, the Swiss will be REQUIRED by constitution and law, to acquire the necessary gold, at whatever price that acquisition demands.

There is a lot of focus on how things can't be done "at current prices", without completing the analysis by looking at how it CAN be done...

In this case, "can" would be replaced by "must".

OK, here I'm going to "agree" with the points made by both of you -- and then explain WHY this means that the Banksters will sabotage this referendum at all costs (even if it means simple, ballot-box fraud).

On the one hand; I think Dubin is right. I don't think that there is enough PHYSICAL BULLION which Switzerland's government could obtain (in a timely enough manner) to satisfy the parameters of the referendum.

On the other hand; your point is valid too. IF the referendum passes; the people of Switzerland won't tolerate "excuses". Thus this could very easily (and finally) blow-up the gold market -- and in a very public way. So no matter how the people of Switzerland actually vote here; I can already "predict" the outcome.

P.S. Myself (and other people I respect) are firmly convinced there was old-fashioned ballot-box fraud in the last election in my own province, British Columbia. Pre-election polling indicated the government was CLEARLY headed to defeat. And then on election-day; we had what the (Corporate) media called "a miracle" -- and our (pro-business) Nazi party "won" the election...with a majority.

Debsyl, thanks for reposting this. It's refreshing to get a trader's-eye view of these markets, these dynamics. Most of this rings true to me, that of which I have no knowledge being the only exception. The way he describes this mechanism is precisely how I would expect the PTB to conduct their business against the rest of the world in general and the American public specificly. Never was it more clear to me that the US is the target and focus of attention, in fact has been created to be the target and focus of attention, precisely to draw in the greatest number of patsies possible, and then cash in on the biggest (orchestrated) crash in history...

Robinsld, I certainly understand the basis for seeking insights from people with "experience". The implied assumption is that they have PRACTICAL knowledge/ideas which people without such experience are less likely to figure-out on their own.

But note (as with almost all logic/reasoning) the big assumption that you have made: that his experience is useful/relevant. And I would argue that (now) that assumption is entirely invalid.

Even if we go back to the early days of BBC; I frequently acknowledged by lack of experience/expertise as an actual "trader" in these markets. But things have changed significantly even over the past 4 years. Specifically, it was in 2011 that the One Bank's "master trading algorithm" took COMPLETE control over what used to be "markets".

We now no longer have markets. A "market" (by definition) is a forum for commerce where price is SOLELY determined by supply and demand. We now no longer have anything which even remotely resembles that. Instead; we have a Big Scam: a 100%-rigged system of commercial fraud.

Thus NONE of this Trader's "experience" has any relevance at all, any longer. Understand that ALL traders are T/A Jockeys. If they didn't believe in (and preach) "T/A", they wouldn't be traders -- since T/A provides them with nearly all of the data they use to engage in their trading.

As a reminder; for ANY T/A to be valid, a very long list of assumptions must all be true. At the top of the list are "free/open markets" and "perfect information" for all Players in our markets. Our reality is the EXACT OPPOSITE of this: the exact opposite of free markets, and the exact opposite of perfect information.

Thus it is now impossible for Traders to derive any useful insights from their experience, because all of that "experience" is based upon a world which has now completely ceased to exist.

Perhaps an analogy would be helpful. You have a serious physical illness, and so you're looking for a "doctor". You find two. One just graduated from medical school as a general practitioner, the other has 20 years experience -- but as a psychiatrist. Yes, he has lots of "experience" -- but none of it is relevant. Indeed, his experience COULD even be a hindrance.

Let's alter the scenario slightly. Now the two doctors are BOTH psychiatrists: one with 20 years experience, the other just graduated. Here you would actually be BETTER OFF with the doctor with no experience.

Psychiatrists are required to learn a lot of basic medicine before specializing in psychiatry. But for the psychiatrist with 20 years experience; much of that training would be forgotten. Conversely, for the psychiatrist who just graduated, his general medical training would be much better-remembered.

It's the same with the Traders. If you have two Traders, one with 23 years experience (like this trader), and the other has only been trading for 3 years; most of the "experience" with the first trader is now totally inapplicable/irrelevant. He still needs to FORGET much of what he learned previously -- because it no longer has any application.

The second trader, conversely, has never known anything other than absolute manipulation. While neither is likely to have much in the way of insights (because both are Zealots of "T/A"); the second trader MIGHT have more to offer.

Many of the leading ECONOMISTS are also very, very "experienced" -- and we know what THAT experience is worth...

Good stuff Dylan!

Yes, you have identified another means of revealing false-flag events. If the Scapegoats for the false-flag event are ever exonerated, or whatever "patsy" which was blamed is no longer a credible suspect (in hindsight); the One Bank ensures that any "investigation" into those who are/were really responsible dies.

Of course the most-obvious example of a false-flag event being exposed in this manner was the JFK assassination. And (obviously) if the general public ever opened their eyes long enough to realize that "9/11" wasn't (solely) the work of 21 "Muslim terrorists" (lol!!); the One Bank would make sure that any inquiry into its own culpability here would also be quashed.
12:52 PM
P.S. Note that this could very easily be disinformation. How/why?

Think about it. Not only is it a (supposed) "explanation" (for the suspicious/skeptical) as to how/why these bubble markets keep going higher and higher, it's also a reassurance.

If people thought/knew that these bubble markets are being primarily pumped-up with the money of the Chumps (as they always are); they would get very nervous. But if they believed (erroneously) that the Federal Reserve itself (with its MAGIC printing press) was "backing" these bubble markets with its own money, then (supposedly) the bubbles could keep going up and up and up.

It's a SEDUCTION (to the foolish) to jump on the Federal Reserve market bandwagon. Who cares if the markets are corrupt if YOU are on the "winning side"...???

[p. 207] Lindbergh leaves absolutely no doubt as to who the principal Failures are in our societies -- the same Failures who sabotaged life in his own era.

Had it not been for a few geniuses in science, mechanics and in all fields of service except economics and politics, the profiteer system would have reduced the majority of us to mere beasts. The world has made wonderful progress in everything – except politics and economics.
I'm sure it's no mystery to regular readers why someone who singles out the politicians and economists (i.e. the "Traitors" and the "Charlatans") as the principal Failures of our societies is my new, personal hero.

I think the first time I heard that line (long ago) was in some TV comedy, or perhaps a stand-up routine:

"You can call me ________, or call me _______; just don't call me late for dinner."

[p. 119] Lindbergh describes how the Economic Pie is divided up in our societies (then and now):

The parasites get it all, honest industry and honest business must be grateful for a few crumbs only.

This is what is known to economists (and every good Right-Winger) as "trickle-down economics".

Debsyl, I was just having a little fun -- intended to be a shot at the Charlatans (i.e. "economists").

So the question is what's gonna happen to the gold price over the next 10 days?

My thought was that it would be bounced up and down like a yoyo to "demonstrate" to the the Swiss that its an erratic barbarous relic. The steady rise over the last week or so has me worried that it might be getting away from them. The Dutch repatriation announcement is an interesting twist. Its not too late to acquire phys but I feel a tonne better buying after the dips (rather than chasing it up).

Do they smash it on the weekends an let it rise during the week? Let it rise with a huge smash just before the vote?

Thoughts

WorkinStiff, the ever-increasing lack of transparency in our (corrupt) world forces me to a little more humble -- at least some of the time (lol).

With these psychopaths having so MANY different schemes at work (and "targets" they're attacking); I'm having more and more problems trying to connect SPECIFIC events with specific plans.

In this particular case; I'm going to offer a piece of advice which I usually forget myself (lol): we must remember not to think about "the price of gold" (or silver) exclusively denominated in USD's. The USD has (absurdly) been rising against ALL "currencies" lately --and gold is a currency.

Thus if we looked at a gold chart of the last few weeks in rupees, or pounds, or euros; I suspect it would look significantly different.

Conveniently; this was also recently posted on the Forum.

Will Putin play the gold card?

I was somewhat skeptical about that plan, but had to acknowledge that it was at least feasible that it could happen. And if Russia was planning to "back the rouble with gold"; that would be an even bigger reason for the Psychopaths to start whacking-around the price of gold (yet again).

With respect to your own theory; I think it's probability (again) depends on something which we cannot know with reliability. Recent STORIES (from the propaganda machine) indicate that the gold-referendum looks certain to be defeated. If that's true; then there is less of a need for the strategy you suggest.

Conversely, if they're LYING about Swiss support for the referendum (and lying is always possible); then that increases the motive to use the price of gold as a tool to shake the confidence of the Swiss people.

The New Federation

www.sprottmoney.com/news/the-new-federat...on-sprott-money-news

In previous commentaries; readers have seen scoffs of derision with respect to (arguably) the two, most-important propaganda myths of the 21st century: the New Normal, and the New World Order. The gist of that criticism is that we rarely see anything truly “new” in our lives, in conceptual terms.

The declaration (through propaganda and/or disinformation) that we have two all-encompassing, new paradigms which supposedly comprise our current reality is patently ludicrous, on its surface. Context changes. Principles are immutable...

Thanks to Sean at SGTReport for pointing me toward this!

Yet again; it makes it very clear (in case it wasn't clear enough already) that Edward Snowden was a HERO not (as the Liars claim) "a traitor". After Snowden's revelations that NSA spying was grossly excessive (not to mention illegal/unconstitutional); the Fascists have been given the chance to FIX what is obviously out-of-control "Big Brother" surveillance.

And what have they done (via the ultra-fascist Republican majority)? They have ENDORSED this Orwellian society -- and left absolutely no doubt that all this is intentional, and not merely cloak-and-dagger Bureaucrats running amok.

P.S. Note the source of this scathing editorial: the Corporate media. When even the corrupt mainstream media finds fault with our Traitor Governments, we know they have done something especially despicable.

Bill to Restrict N.S.A. Data Collection Blocked in Vote by Senate Republicans

www.nytimes.com/2014/11/19/us/nsa-phone-records.html?_r=1

WASHINGTON — Senate Republicans on Tuesday blocked a sweeping overhaul of the once-secret National Security Agency program that collects records of Americans’ phone calls in bulk.

Democrats and a handful of Republicans who supported the measure failed to secure the 60 votes they needed to take up the legislation. The vote was 58 to 42 for consideration.

Senator Patrick J. Leahy, the Vermont Democrat who drafted the bill, blamed what he said was fear-mongering by the bill’s opponents for its defeat. “Fomenting fear stifles serious debate and constructive solutions,” he said. “This nation deserves more than that.”

Senator Mitch McConnell, the Republican leader, worked hard to defeat the bill, which had the support of the Obama administration and a coalition of technology companies including Apple, Google, Microsoft and Yahoo...

Here (once again) is a rather long passage to characterize as a "notable quote", since it doesn't have the eye-catching brevity which we associate with most of the notable quotes in our (original) Notable Quotes section.

But the purpose with quoting this excerpt, and the purpose of most of the Lindbergh excerpts I'm presenting here is not simply to verify what I describe in my own writing today, but to demonstrate (via Lindbergh) that even 100 YEARS AGO, these criticisms were already dominant realities in our societies...

All things demonstrate what happens when we accept the kept press falsehoods for truth, believe in the adroit schemes of the wealthy and listen with open mouths to the speeches of Congressmen whose statesmanship consists of sacrificing their constituents in return for kept press support and good committee appointments, and having the privilege of naming their political chums to fat office – these in turn for telling us whom and what to vote for.

We see the national catastrophe when we measure the work of these Congressmen – some of them called “Grand Old Men.” They have served grandly and long the demands of the profiteers. The misfortunes of the people and the peril of the nation are too solemn for jest; but in spite of catastrophe the pretended wise and good Congressmen, their pompous parade for our votes and our blind following, make us look like jokes when we analyze THEIR acts and measure them by OUR votes.

P.S. Note how Lindbergh describes the slack-jawed Zombies of his own era:

[They]...listen with open mouths to the speeches of Congressmen whose statesmanship consists of sacrificing their own constituents.

Jeff Nielson created a new topic Ukraine's "gold is gone" (stolen) in the forums.
This news will come as a surprise to no one here, since I have long pointed out that one of the reasons for these Fascists overthrowing the governments of (for example) Iraq, Libya, and (now) Ukraine was to steal their gold. We also know the REASON why the One Bank is so intent on stealing large quantities of gold: to (partially) re-fill its empty warehouses, in order to DELAY either a (formal) inventory default or an (informal) Decoupling in the gold market.

Phantom Gold Inventories: Has The Comex Already Defaulted?
Gold Market Secretly Decoupling
Decoupling In Precious Metals Markets
Economic Rape of Europe Nearly Complete, Part II

If there IS a "surprise" here, it's that the Fascists were sloppy enough to allow this news to slip out. (As far as I know) there has been no public acknowledgements (by their respective governments) that the gold of Iraq, Libya, and Greece is all gone/stolen. For other nations which still have large quantities of gold, even (supposed) "allies" of the U.S. (like Greece); the message here is clear: WATCH YOUR BACK.

Further indicating how desperate the One Bank is getting -- again -- is news that it's once again pressuring India's government to RE-IMPOSE tight restrictions on gold imports. This is laughable, for two reasons.

First of all; all the empirical evidence from the the FIRST time it engaged in this economic blackmail indicates that the move CAUSED more problems for the Banksters than it solved. Secondly, there is no reason to believe that (official) restrictions on Indian gold imports will do ANYTHING to slow down the (unofficial) flow of gold into that nation -- via smuggling.

How India Evaded The One Bank’s Gold-Embargo
Gold-Squeeze In India Stokes Silver Demand

There are several conclusions which we can draw from all of this:

1) The One Bank is becoming increasingly concerned/desperate with respect to the issue of inventory default in the gold market (and likely the silver market as well).
2) It has ran out of (original) schemes/ideas to delay implosion in the gold market, and now just repeats old schemes.
3) It is RUNNING OUT of gold which can/could still be stolen.

The Countdown continues...

Ukraine Admits Its Gold Is Gone: "There Is Almost No Gold Left In The Central Bank Vault"

www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-11-18/ukraine-admits-its-gold-gone

Back in March, at a time when the IMF reported that Ukraine's official gold holdings as of the end of February, so just as the State Department-facilitated coup against former president Victor Yanukovich was concluding, amounted to 42.3 tonnes or 8% of reserves...

India readies draconian gold import rules

www.mining.com/india-readies-draconian-n...-import-rules-67511/

Long the top importer of gold, India fell behind China in 2013.

The decline in gold consumption came after bullion import duties were pushed up tenfold – from 1% at the start of 2012 to 10% – and other rules such as mandatory re-export of 20% of imports, transaction taxes and even curbs on ETF buying stymied India's gold industry.

The measures worked as intended, bringing down the country's current account deficit and shoring up the rupee. But optimism after the election of business-friendly prime minister Narendra Modi and after the government allowed certain jewellery trading houses to start importing again saw imports surge.

In October Indian jewellers and traders imported 150 tonnes from just 25 tonnes this time last year worth reports Reuters:

"We are working on it. The measures to slow gold imports are almost ready and may be announced today or tomorrow," said the source, who declined to be named because of the sensitivity of the matter.

Officials from the finance ministry and Reserve Bank of India (RBI) were considering whether to reimpose import restrictions on "star trading houses" that were eased earlier this year, the source said.

The new measure could be imposing new restrictions on these trading houses, tightening the import-export ratio to 70:30 or even 60:40, and raising the import duties again, but making the rules too draconian only encourages increased smuggling...

Jeff Nielson created a new topic Israeli editorial: defending GENOCIDE in the forums.
This is actually a somewhat older piece from SCGnews.com (from August), but something so shocking/heinous that it's still worth covering

It's certainly possible that some readers/Members may find my characterization of Israel's political/military policies as "slow genocide" to be hyperbolic. However, those people may want to re-think their position after reading this article (from an Israel newspaper) "explaining" how/when/why genocide is NECESSARY, titled...

When Genocide Is PERMISSIBLE

Naturally this culture of Murderers wouldn't come right out and advocate the slaughter of the last, few million Palestinians. Rather, they frame this plotted, mass crime-against-humanity rhetorically:

I will conclude with a question for all the humanitarians out there. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu clearly stated at the outset of this incursion that his objective is to restore a sustainable quiet for the citizens of Israel. We have already established that it is the responsibility of every government to ensure the safety and security of its people. If political leaders and military experts determine that the only way to achieve its goal of sustaining quiet is through genocide is it then permissible to achieve those responsible goals?

All of those well-respected Terrorists who comprise Israel's apartheid regime don't want people to think (know) that they WANT to perpetrate genocide against the captive, defenseless Palestinian population. Rather, these demented Psychopaths want to frame their crime-against-humanity as being something they are "forced to do".

The Slow-Genocide will continue...

Times of Israel Article: "When Genocide is Permissible" - Just a Little Too Honest

scgnews.com/times-of-israel-article-when...-a-little-too-honest

On August 1st, 2014, The Times of Israel posted one of their most honest articles to date. In it, the author openly made the case that in certain circumstances genocide may not only be permissible, but in fact a necessary component of government policy...

Thanks for the post, TA.

This is even MORE disturbing than the other "globalization" trade pacts which have come before this. This becomes immediately apparent when we view what is the reported AGENDA of this so-called "trade agreement".

The following list of issues addressed by this treaty is from a Malaysian news source...

• domestic court decisions and international legal standards (e.g., overriding domestic laws on both trade and nontrade matters, foreign investors’ right to sue governments in international tribunals that would overrule the national sovereignty)

• environmental regulations (e.g., nuclear energy, pollution, sustainability)

• financial deregulation (e.g., more power and privileges to the bankers and financiers)

• food safety (e.g., lowering food self-sufficiency, prohibition of mandatory labeling of genetically modified products, or bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) or mad cow disease)

• Government procurement (e.g., no more buy locally produced/grown)

• Internet freedom (e.g., monitoring and policing user activity)

• labour (e.g., welfare regulation, workplace safety, relocating domestic jobs abroad)

• patent protection, copyrights (e.g., decrease access to affordable medicine)

• public access to essential services may be restricted due to investment rules (e.g., water, electricity, and gas)

Now (on the one hand) if we could actually TRUST our Traitor Governments to negotiate for our benefit rather than for our enslavement, this is the only way to draw-up a proper "free trade" agreement. We must harmonize our economies so that we are all playing on a level field.

However, having DECADES of proof that our Traitor Governments do nothing but conspire against us (and for the Banksters they serve); we know in advance that any "comprehensive" treaty of this nature would be solely for the purpose of completing the destruction of our societies -- and not elevating the societies of less-advanced cultures.

This is GLOBAL FEUDALISM, plain and simple -- turning our planet into a hovel for 7 billion Serfs...and a paradise for a few thousand (hundred?) Oligarchs.

"Universal Soldier"

He's five foot-two, and he's six feet-four,
He fights with missiles and with spears.
He's all of thirty-one, and he's only seventeen,
Been a soldier for a thousand years.

He'a a Catholic, a Hindu, an Atheist, a Jain,
A Buddhist and a Baptist and a Jew.
And he knows he shouldn't kill,
And he knows he always will,
Kill you for me my friend and me for you.

And he's fighting for Canada,
He's fighting for France,
He's fighting for the USA,
And he's fighting for the Russians,
And he's fighting for Japan,
And he thinks we'll put an end to war this way.

And he's fighting for Democracy,
He's fighting for the Reds,
He says it's for the peace of all.
He's the one who must decide,
Who's to live and who's to die,
And he never sees the writing on the wall.

But without him,
How would Hitler have condemned them at Dachau?
Without him Caesar would have stood alone,
He's the one who gives his body
As a weapon of the war,
And without him all this killing can't go on.

He's the Universal Soldier and he really is to blame,
His orders come from far away no more,
They come from here and there and you and me,
And brothers can't you see,
This is not the way we put the end to war.

Definitely some classic verse there, Dylan. One of the unfortunate consequences of the loss of our prosperity is the devolution of "the arts", and music, in particular.

There simply AREN'T any Neil Youngs or Bonos or Dylans or other NEW minstrel/poets who are able to put the outrages of our era to music -- and thus alert (some of) the masses.
