U.S. government to continue prosecution (persecution?) of UBS
Articles & Blogs - US Commentary
The U.S. financial crime syndicate has already brought a new definition to the phrase “organized crime”. U.S. banks are known to be involved with money-laundering for drug cartels. In addition to that, this decade they conspired in a multi-trillion campaign of fraud, victimizing investors and other banks all over the world.
Former, senior U.S. regulator,William Black has publicly stated he considers this fraud “epidemic” begun by U.S. banks to be intentional and systemic. He flatly asserted that Wall Street, itself, had become one, big “Ponzi scheme”.
Given an endless series of crimes (and criminals) to choose from, who is the U.S. government currently prosecuting? Certainly not a U.S. bank. Instead, the Wall Street servants, who run the U.S. government in accordance with their masters' wishes are prosecuting Swiss bank, UBS.
Having seen how successful it was in “scapegoating” and demonizing “illegal aliens” (i.e. the slaves who were imported by the U.S. to do most of their menial labour), the U.S. government is transferring that successful strategy to the banking sector, hoping that making a very visible scapegoat out of UBS will distract the weak-minded, U.S. electorate from the large, criminal population on Wall Street.
To be fair, U.S. fraud-factories have already been accused of countless acts of impropriety. And in every one of those cases, the banker-servants in government did nothing more than assess a small fine – not even requiring these crime-addicted institutions to admit their guilt.
To suggest this is a “double standard” is nothing less than a gross, understatement. The U.S. government is conspiring to cover up the many crimes of Wall Street, just as they conspired with Wall Street to perpetrate this “crime wave”, in the first place.
Naturally, it would be a “little awkward” to take any serious actions against the U.S. financial crime syndicate, when there are an endless series of accomplices hidden in the former Bush regime, and the current Obama regime. Replacing “Tweedle-DUM” with “Tweedle-Dee” has changed nothing – despite the misguided optimism of U.S. voters who installed the corrupt, Obama regime in the White House.
This weekend, Reuters reported that the Swiss government was seeking to get the U.S. government to essentially give UBS the same “slap on the wrist” which it hands out to the career-criminals in the U.S. financial crime syndicate – in exchange for a bilateral “tax accord”, to eliminate the problem of Swiss banks (such as UBS) facilitating “tax evasion” by U.S. citizens.
Given the lax enforcement against U.S. bank-criminals, the Swiss proposal is obviously reasonable. However, statements by U.S. officials offered no hint that they were prepared to accept any “compromise deal”.
If the Obama regime allows UBS to escape its current persecution with the usual, token “slap on the wrist”, then it will be forced to find another foreign “scapegoat” - to distract the U.S. public from the criminal infestation of both Wall Street and the U.S. government, itself.
Thus, a compromise with UBS appears unlikely, at least not until they have gotten some additional “mileage” out of their current scapegoat. Meanwhile, the Goldman
Sachs Stooge who “holds the key” to the U.S. Treasury will continue to assist Wall Street in pillaging more trillions from U.S. taxpayers.
